UK Railway Ticket Collection (2024-2026)

Introduction

A collection of physical ticket samples and collection receipts from UK train operators, gathered across various stations.

Notes

  1. The Train Tickets listed in the ToD section are all of the Ticket on Departure (ToD) type, meaning they were purchased online and collected at a Ticket Vending Machine (TVM). Other purchase methods (e.g. buying directly at the station) are not covered here.
  2. Operator refers to the operator labelled on the Ticket Vending Machine (TVM), which may differ from the station's managing operator. For example, London Victoria is managed by Network Rail, but its TVMs include those branded Southern and Southeastern.
  3. Stansted Express is not a train operator, but a service operated by Greater Anglia. Its TVMs and ticket office staff are operated by Greater Anglia.
  4. Entries marked Ticket Office indicate the ticket was collected from a staffed ticket office window, not a TVM.
  5. The operator running a ticket office may also differ from the station's managing operator shown on the National Rail website. For example, National Rail lists London Liverpool Street as managed by Network Rail, but its ticket office is operated by Greater Anglia.
  6. Type 6 and type 9 use a similar font style, but the digits 3, 6 and 9 are written differently.
  7. Type 8 is a reserved number, and no sample is currently available.
  8. In the Online via Post section, N/A indicates that the operator's website does not offer a postal ticket delivery service.
